Footed sterling silver salt cellar by William Suckling, fully hallmarked for Birmingham with the 1955 'F' date letter and sterling standard mark. The body has a rounded, cauldron-style form with a shaped rim and rests on four elegant hoof feet. Fitted with a cobalt blue glass liner. Polished silver finish with light age-appropriate wear consistent with a 1950s piece. Silver weight (without liner) is 37 g; total weight with liner is 57 g. Measures approximately 2.25 inches wide by 1.15 inches tall. Good condition.
