Vintage Sterling Silver Amethyst Cabochon Earrings / Convertible Pendants

Pair of vintage sterling silver drop earrings, each set with an oval amethyst cabochon in a bezel setting. The oxidized silver body features a kite/shield silhouette with fine beaded milgrain borders running along the edges, a pair of raised tulip or leaf-form silver motifs flanking the stone, and small applied silver bead accents at the shoulders and base — giving each piece a rich, handcrafted, folk-art quality. The darkened oxidized finish contrasts beautifully with the polished silver highlights and the soft purple of the amethyst.
