A heavy, solid vintage Egyptian silver tray with dense hand-engraved decoration covering the entire surface. The design features concentric outwardly radiating patterns filled with interlacing arabesque scrollwork, with a central medallion bearing script — likely Arabic or Quranic calligraphy. The wide border rim is scalloped and similarly engraved with repeating geometric and foliate motifs. The finish is bright silver-tone with the depth and patina consistent with age. Marked 900 silver on the underside. Measures approximately 11.75 inches in diameter and weighs 522 grams.
