Antique sterling silver serving spoon made by Reed & Barton, retailed through CW Anderson & Co. The large, ornate bowl features a gilt-washed interior with deeply embossed rose and foliate decoration in a Victorian Rococo Revival style, with a scalloped and fluted rim. The handle is double-struck with bold acanthus-scroll relief on both the front terminal and the back, and the handle front bears an engraved script monogram. Marked on the back with the Reed & Barton maker's mark, patent date, STERLING, and CW Anderson & Co. retailer's mark. Measures 6 inches long by 1.6 inches wide. Total weight 36 g.
