Reed & Barton Francis I pattern solid sterling silver serving fork, or cold meat fork. The Francis I pattern, introduced in 1907, is one of Reed & Barton's most celebrated and enduring designs, featuring an elaborate repousse handle with deeply chased fruit, flowers, scrolls, and acanthus leaves in the Renaissance Revival style. This serving fork is larger and broader at the tines than a standard dinner fork, with a wide, slightly splayed four-tine head suited for serving. The handle displays the full richness of the Francis I motif in excellent detail. Measures 7.25 inches long by approximately 1.15 inches wide. Total weight 62 grams. Solid sterling silver throughout.
