A beautiful matched pair of antique English sterling silver salt cellars, each fitted with a deep cobalt blue glass liner. The oval bodies feature a polished silver finish with a richly chased and gadroon-style decorative border running around the rim. Each cellar stands on four bold cast lion's paw feet — a hallmark of Regency-era English silversmithing. Hallmarked on the side. Total combined weight of both pieces without the liners is 88 g. Each cellar measures approximately 2.35 inches wide by 1.25 inches tall. Both pieces are in very good condition and display excellent quality throughout.
