Pair Gorham “Trivitray” Sterling Silver & Laminated Plastic Coasters / Beverage Trivets, Pattern 1315 Mid Century

Pair of vintage mid-century Gorham Sterling silver and laminated plastic coasters/beverage trivets, “Trivitray” pattern 1315. Each features a polished sterling silver rim with a double-bead edge profile and a dark laminated plastic insert — designed to protect surfaces from moisture-forming beverages such as cocktail glasses, sauce bowls, syrup jugs, salt and pepper shakers, and similar items. The plastic insert is stated to be heat-stable and will not degrade. Each coaster measures approximately 6.4 inches in diameter and ½ inch in height. Stamped along the side edge: GORHAM STERLING 1315. Combined weight of both pieces is 254 g. One coaster retains a partial sticker remnant on the base; the other is missing its bottom sticker entirely. One coaster has a small dent to the base and a small dent to the rim, both barely noticeable — see images. Mid-century modernist style consistent with Gorham's barware and entertaining lines of the 1950s–1960s.
