Large oval sterling silver gallery tray of substantial weight, hallmarked on the base for Sterling and England with the CSH maker's mark, and additionally marked on the side of the base with city and date marks. The pierced gallery features an elaborate continuous scroll and foliate openwork design with quatrefoil accents throughout, framed above and below by a beaded border. Two integrated loop handles at each end, also edged with beading, provide a secure grip. The flat oval base is smooth and polished. Edwardian-era English silver style. Measures 19.65 inches long by 12 inches wide and 2.1 inches tall. Weight: 1,549 g.
