Early 19th-century American coin silver coffee pot by maker Ball, Tompkins & Black, marked by the maker on the base. Weighs 992 g and measures approximately 9 inches tall by 8.75 inches from spout to handle. The body is elaborately hand-chased and repousse throughout with dense Rococo-style scrollwork, acanthus leaves, and floral cartouches on a lobed, baluster-form body. Raised on four shell-and-scroll cast feet. The scroll handle is chased to match the body. The domed, hinged lid is similarly chased and surmounted by a decorative floral finial. Reserved cartouche panels on the body are unengraved. Normal signs of age and patina consistent with period; no major losses or repairs reported. Overall good condition considering age.
