Antique solid sterling silver sugar tongs marked 'STERLING 925/1000' and a patent date of 1817 on the interior, along with an additional maker's mark. The tongs feature a classic bow spring design with two matching claw-tip ends for gripping sugar cubes or similar items. The handles display fine engraved line detailing and a small decorative cartouche motif at the center bow. Silver-tone throughout with age-appropriate patina and toning consistent with antique sterling. Measures approximately 4.75 inches in total length. Total weight is 32 grams. Good condition.
